Cheap and Easy Gluten Free Chocolate Brownie Recipe

We love chocolate and baking in our house. This simple brownie recipe is cheap, easy and doesn’t require any over the top ingredients. It only take 20min to prepare and 30min to bake.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup table spread (margarine)
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup gluten free flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup cocoa cowder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Method:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180*C and line the bottom of a 15cm x 24cm (6inch x 9.5inch) brownie tray with baking paper.
  2. In a medium size pot place the margarine, vanilla essence and sugar and cook on a low heat until the margarine is completely melted and remove from the heat.
  3. Once the margarine mixture has cooled slightly add the remaining ingredients and mix until combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into your brownie tray and spread it out evenly.
  5. bake in the oven for 30min. A knife inserted into it should come out clean.
  6. Allow to cool in the tray before turning it out onto a wire rack.
  7. Divide the brownie into as many or as few pieces as you like and enjoy.
